Getting There

  • Metro

    To reach the Oceanário de Lisboa using the metro, start by going to any metro station in Lisbon. If you're near the city center, you can head to the Baixa-Chiado or Rossio stations. From there, take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia. Change trains at the 'Cais do Sodré' station to the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards Telheiras. Get off at 'Oriente' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for the 'Parque das Nações' exit. From here, it's a 10-minute walk to the Oceanário. Follow the path along the water, and you'll see the Oceanário ahead.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, find a nearby bus stop with routes that head towards 'Parque das Nações'. Take the bus route 728 or 759, which will take you directly to the Oceanário de Lisboa. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most accurate times. Once you arrive at the stop 'Oceanário', you will see the aquarium directly in front of you.

    You can also take tram number 15 from the city center. Board the tram at Praça da Figueira or Cais do Sodré and ride it towards 'Algés'. Get off at the 'Oriente' stop. From there, follow the pedestrian paths towards the water, and you will arrive at the Oceanário de Lisboa in about 10 minutes.
