Public Transport
If you are near the city center, head to the nearest metro station, which is likely to be São Sebastião or Rossio. Take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia. At the Baixa-Chiado station, transfer to the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards Cais do Sodré. Get off at the Cais do Sodré station. From there, walk to the nearby bus terminal and take bus number 28. Turn left onto Rua de São Paulo and walk until you reach the riverbank. From there, follow the water until you get to the Museu de Arte Antiga. Continue walking along the riverside path towards the west, and you'll eventually reach Largo da Ajuda. The Palácio Nacional da Ajuda is located at this address.
Tram
From Praça do Comércio, walk towards the tram station at Cais do Sodré. Board Tram 15E, which travels towards Algés. Ride the tram for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop named 'Ajuda'. From there, it is a short walk to Largo da Ajuda, where the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda is located.
