If you are driving, start from Funchal, the capital of Madeira. Take the VR1 expressway heading east towards Machico. After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards Machico and follow signs for ER101. Continue on ER101 until you reach the town of Machico. From Machico, follow the signs towards Porto da Cruz. After about 5 km, you will see a sign for Ponte do Curral dos Romeiros. Turn onto Caminho Rev. Padre Eugénio Borgonovo, where you will find parking nearby.
