From Guimarães city center, walk to the bus station located at Avenida de Abuquerque. Take the bus number 22, which goes directly to Porto. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, follow the signs to the metro station.

At the Porto bus terminal, purchase a ticket for the metro. You will want to take the blue line (Line A) towards Estádio do Dragão. Travel for 6 stops until you reach the Casa da Música station. Here, transfer to the yellow line (Line D) towards Santo Ovidio.

Continue on the yellow line (Line D) for 4 stops and get off at the Jardim do Morro station. From here, walk towards the Dom João I bridge and cross it to reach the other side of the river.

After crossing the bridge, head south on R. de Dom João de Castro. Continue straight until you reach Fundação Serralves, located at R. Dom João de Castro 210. The walk from the bridge to the foundation will take about 10 minutes.
