    If you are in the city center of Guimarães, start at Praça de São Tiago. From the square, head southwest towards Rua de São Tiago. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Rua de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira. Turn right onto Rua de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira and walk until you reach the end of the street. Here, you'll find the impressive Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira on your left. Continue straight ahead, crossing the road, and you will arrive at the main street, Avenida Dom João IV. From there, follow the signs for the train station (Estação de Guimarães). Once at the station, take the train to Porto. The journey takes about 1 hour. When you arrive at São Bento station in Porto, exit the station and head towards Rua de Almeida Garrett. Walk straight until you reach the beautiful Avenida dos Aliados. Continue walking straight until you reach the river, and then follow the riverbank to your right. You will see the Cais da Estiva on your left, where Postigo do Carvão is located at number 77.

Buses run frequently and the journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, you can take the Metro Line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the stop 'São Bento'.
