If you are driving from any location in Minho, you can use the A3 motorway which connects several cities in the region. Follow the signs for Porto and take the A3 exit towards Porto. Once you reach Porto, follow the signs for the A1 motorway and merge onto it. Take exit 7 towards Rua de Contumil. Continue on Rua de Contumil and you will arrive at the Contumil train station. Parking may be available nearby, but check local regulations for any costs associated.
Train
To reach Contumil via train, you can start from any train station in Minho, such as Braga or Guimarães. Purchase a ticket for an urban train heading towards Porto. The train will take you to the São Bento station in Porto. From São Bento, transfer to the Metro at the São Bento station and take the Line A (Blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the Contumil station. The ticket price for the train from Braga to Porto is approximately €5, and the Metro ticket is about €1.20.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, look for regional buses from cities like Braga or Guimarães to Porto. The bus will take you to the Campo 24 de Agosto bus terminal in Porto. From there, you can take Metro Line A (Blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the Contumil station. The bus fare typically ranges from €4 to €6 depending on the distance. The Metro ticket will cost about €1.20.
