Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the A1 highway. If you're coming from Lisbon, head north on the A1 and take exit 9 towards Vila Franca de Xira. Follow the signs for Vila Franca de Xira, and then merge onto the CM1241 road. Continue straight for about 5 km until you reach the location at CM1241 113, Vila Franca de Xira. There is free parking available near the palace.
Public Transportation (Train)
For those using public transportation, take a train from Lisbon’s Santa Apolónia or Oriente station to Vila Franca de Xira. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Vila Franca de Xira station, exit the station and walk towards the bus station in front of the train station. Take Bus Number 1 or 2 towards CM1241. Get off at the stop named 'Palácio do Conde Farrobo'. The bus fare is around €1.50.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer traveling by bus, you can take a direct bus from Lisbon to Vila Franca de Xira. Buses leave from the Campo Grande bus terminal. The journey is approximately 45 minutes and costs around €3. Once you arrive at the Vila Franca de Xira bus terminal, you can walk to Count Farrobo's Palace, which is about a 15-minute walk (approx. 1.2 km). Head northeast on Rua da Estação, turn right onto Avenida da Liberdade, and continue straight until you reach CM1241 113.
