Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from Praça do Brasil in the center of Setúbal, head south on Rua do Comércio. Continue straight as it turns into Rua da Conceição. After about 300 meters, take a right onto Rua da Liberdade. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Avenida 5 de Outubro. Cross to Avenida 5 de Outubro and continue walking straight until you arrive at the waterfront. Turn left on the promenade along the river and walk for approximately 600 meters. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Porta do Sol. Arco São Sebastião will be on your left at the end of this street.

• Public Transport

  From Setúbal train station, exit and head to the nearest bus stop, located directly outside the station. Take bus number 2 or 5, which both head towards the city center. Get off at the stop called 'Praça do Brasil'. From there, walk south on Rua do Comércio, which will lead you to Rua da Conceição. Continue as described in the walking guidance until you reach Arco São Sebastião.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Setúbal. Start from the rental shop and head towards the waterfront. Follow the promenade south, where you can enjoy a scenic ride. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Porta do Sol. Ride along this street, and you will find Arco São Sebastião on your left.
