Getting There

Walking
Start at Praça do Brasil in the center of Setúbal. Head southeast on Av. Luísa Todi towards R. do Quebra Costas. Continue straight until you reach R. de José Afonso. Turn left onto R. de José Afonso and walk until you reach the waterfront. From there, follow the waterfront path (Cais do Sodré) that leads to the marina. Continue walking along the marina until you reach the end, then follow the signs for Forte de São Filipe, which will guide you up the hill. The walk may take approximately 30-40 minutes and provides scenic views of the marina and the ocean.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Setúbal city center, head to the nearest bus stop at Praça do Brasil. Take bus number 30 (Forte de São Filipe direction). The bus will take you closer to the base of the hill where the fort is located. Get off at the stop named 'Forte de São Filipe'. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk (about 10 minutes) up to the fort. Follow the signs as you ascend the hill, enjoying the beautiful views along the way.
