Bus
From Sintra, walk to the Sintra Train Station located at Av. Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Once there, take the bus 403 towards 'Praça da Figueira'. The bus will take you directly to Lisbon. You will need to get off at the stop called 'Avenida da Liberdade'. From there, walk to the nearby metro station 'Marquês de Pombal'. Take the metro on the Blue Line towards 'Santa Apolónia' and get off at 'Baixa-Chiado'. From Baixa-Chiado station, exit and walk towards Praça Dom Luís I, which is about a 15-minute walk away, crossing the Rua do Ouro and heading towards the riverfront.
Train
Start your journey at Sintra Train Station. Board a train heading to Rossio Station in Lisbon. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Rossio Station, exit the station and head towards the Praça dos Restauradores. From there, you can catch the metro at the Restauradores station on the Green Line. Take the metro towards 'Cais do Sodré' and change at 'Baixa-Chiado' station to the Blue Line. Travel towards 'Santa Apolónia' and get off at 'Baixa-Chiado'. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk to Praça Dom Luís I.
Walking
If you are already in the center of Sintra, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Praça Dom Luís I. Head towards the Sintra National Palace, then continue straight down the main road, Rua Ferreira de Castro, until you reach the town square. From the square, take the path leading towards the train station, and follow the signs directing you towards Lisbon. This route will take you approximately 45 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings along the way.
