Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Praia Fluvial do Lago Azul in Ferreira do Zêzere from Tomar, start by walking to the Tomar Bus Station (Estação Rodoviária de Tomar), which is located at Av. Comandante Camacho de Freitas, 2300-000 Tomar. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to Ferreira do Zêzere. The bus ride will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. When you arrive at Ferreira do Zêzere, get off at the main bus stop (Paragem de Autocarro de Ferreira do Zêzere). From the bus stop, head towards the river (Lago Azul), which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs leading towards the lake, and you will find the Praia Fluvial do Lago Azul, a beautiful riverside beach area.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to cycle from Tomar to Praia Fluvial do Lago Azul, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tomar. Start your journey by heading southwest on Rua Doutor João de Moura toward Av. Comandante Camacho de Freitas. Follow the road signs towards Ferreira do Zêzere, which is about 15 km away. The route will take you through scenic countryside and along quiet roads. Upon arriving in Ferreira do Zêzere, follow the signs to Lago Azul, which will lead you to the riverside area.

• Walking

  Walking to Praia Fluvial do Lago Azul directly from Tomar is quite a long journey, approximately 15 km and may take about 3-4 hours. If you're up for it, start at the Tomar city center and head towards the direction of Ferreira do Zêzere. Follow the signs and paths leading out of the city. You will be walking on rural roads, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Upon reaching Ferreira do Zêzere, look for signs that point to Lago Azul, which is a short walk from the village center.
