Getting there

Bus

From Vila Real, head to the main bus station located at Av. de Carvalho Araújo. Take a bus towards Pinhão; these buses run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Pinhão bus stop, exit the bus and head towards the river. Walk along the riverside for about 10-15 minutes until you see the signs for Largo do Videira. Quinta do Bomfim is located in this area.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Vila Real to Quinta do Bomfim. You can easily find a taxi at the main taxi rank near the Vila Real bus station. Inform the driver that you want to go to Largo do Videira in Pinhão. The drive will take around 25-30 minutes, and the fare will vary, so make sure to confirm the price before you set off.

Walking (After Bus Ride)

If you choose to take the bus to Pinhão, upon arrival at the Pinhão bus station, exit and walk towards the riverside. Follow the path along the Douro River, enjoying the beautiful views. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes, and you will find yourself at Largo do Videira, where Quinta do Bomfim is located.

Bicycle Rental

For an adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Vila Real. After renting, take the bike towards Pinhão. Follow the signs towards the Douro Valley, and enjoy the scenic ride which takes about an hour.
