From Arecibo Observatory, get onto PR-22 from Route 2. Follow PR-22 for about 14 miles. Take exit 34 toward Vega Baja and merge onto PR-2. Continue on PR-2 for approximately 6 miles and then take the exit toward FJR2. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto FJR2. After about 1.5 miles, you will arrive at Playa Puerto Nuevo, located on your right. There is usually free parking available near the beach.
