If you're traveling by car within the Caribbean National Forest, start by heading towards PR-191. From the main entrance of the forest, take PR-191 northbound. Continue on PR-191 for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with PR-159. Turn left onto PR-159 and continue for about 3 miles. Look for the signs for Monte Choca State Park, which will be on your right. Once you see the park entrance, follow the road until you reach the parking area.

To reach Monte Choca State Park via public transportation, you can take a bus or a shared taxi (carrito) from nearby towns like Fajardo or San Juan. Look for a bus that heads towards Corozal. You'll need to get off near PR-159. From there, it’s about a 1-mile walk to the park entrance. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for times, as they may vary. Also, you may need to pay a small fee for the bus ride, typically around $1-$2.

If you are an adventurous traveler and wish to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in the nearby towns. Start at the Caribbean National Forest entrance and follow PR-191 northbound.
