From the main entrance of El Yunque National Forest, follow the signs towards Palo Colorado. Once you reach the parking area at Palo Colorado, you will need to hike for about 1.5 miles on the El Yunque Trail. Follow the trail markers and listen for the sound of the river to guide you to Charco El Hippie.

If you are taking public transportation, you can take a bus to the entrance of El Yunque National Forest. From there, you will need to hike to the Palo Colorado Recreation Area. Once at Palo Colorado, follow the same directions as if you were driving - hike for about 1.5 miles on the El Yunque Trail to reach Charco El Hippie.
