From any point within the Guánica Dry Forest Reserve, head towards Route 116. Follow Route 116 south towards Lajas. After approximately 8 km (5 miles), look for the exit sign for Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, which will be to your right. The entrance to the reserve is clearly marked. There is no fee to enter the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón.

Public Transportation
If you are relying on public transportation, start by taking a local guagua (shared minibus) from Guánica towards Lajas. Be sure to ask the driver if they stop at Bosque Estatal de Boquerón. The fare is usually around $2. Once you reach the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, you may need to walk a short distance to the main entrance. Ensure to check the schedule for return trips, as services may be limited.

If you find yourself near the entrance of Bosque Estatal de Boquerón after arriving by car or guagua, you can simply walk to the entrance. The walking path is well-maintained, and you will see signs guiding you to the main visitor center. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
