Bus
From your current location in Guayama, walk to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus route that goes to Río Grande. You can ask a local for guidance on which bus to take, as the routes may vary. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride. You'll want to remain on the bus until you reach the stop closest to El Yunque National Forest, which is about an hour's ride. After arriving, you can follow signs to the park entrance.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore more of the area, you can start by walking towards the main square of Guayama (Plaza de Guayama). From there, head northeast on Calle Santiago R. Palmer. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with PR-3. Cross to the other side and follow PR-3 north towards Río Grande. This is a longer walk (approximately 1.5 hours), but you will experience the local scenery along the way.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route without the need to navigate public transport or walk, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service like Uber. Simply request a ride to 'El Yunque National Forest' or 'Río Grande 00745'. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they know the location, and enjoy the drive which should take around 30 minutes from Guayama.
