Start at Parque de Bombas located in the heart of Ponce. From the park, head southwest on Calle Marina towards Plaza del Caribe. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Route 2 (PR-2). Cross the street and proceed onto Calle Los Cocos. Follow this road for approximately 700 meters until you reach a bus stop. From there, take the bus towards Adjuntas, which will drop you off near the entrance to the trail leading to El Ataúd swimming hole.

Once you arrive at the bus stop near the trail entrance, look for the signs indicating the hiking trail to El Ataúd. The trail is well-marked and begins just off the main road. Follow the trail for about 20-30 minutes, which will take you through lush vegetation. Be sure to take note of the landmarks along the way, such as the small stream you will cross. Eventually, you will reach the swimming hole. Enjoy the beautiful setting!
