You can take the public bus (Metrobus) to Old San Juan. Look for the M1 or M3 routes that run from different neighborhoods. The fare is $0.75. Once you arrive in Old San Juan, get off at the stop closest to the San Juan Gate (Puerta de San Juan). From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Fortín del Escambrón. Head towards the coastline and follow the path towards the east until you reach the fort.
