Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Al Shamal, head towards the main road leading north, which is the Al Shamal Road. Continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Al Zubara Road. Walk along this road for approximately 5 kilometers, enjoying the views of the desert landscape. When you see the sign for Zubarah Town ruins, continue for another 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance. The ruins will be on your right side, just off the road.

    Start from the main bus station in Al Shamal. Look for the bus heading towards Al Zubara, which should be clearly marked. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Al Zubara, disembark at the stop closest to the ruins. From the bus stop, walk approximately 700 meters north along the main road. You will see the entrance to Zubarah Town ruins on your left. Follow the signs to reach the archaeological site.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Al Shamal and head towards Al Shamal Road. Cycle straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Al Zubara Road. Continue cycling for about 5 kilometers, and you'll see signs guiding you towards Zubarah Town ruins. The ruins are located about 1 kilometer further down the road on your right. Ensure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated during your ride.
