Car
If you are driving from any location on Aquidneck Island, head towards the Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge to get onto Route 138. Once on Route 138, follow the signs for Providence. After crossing the bridge, continue on I-95 N. Take exit 22 for I-195 E toward Cape Cod. Continue on I-195 E and take exit 1B for Memorial Boulevard. Continue straight onto Memorial Blvd, then turn left onto Weybosset St. Custom House will be on your right at 24 Weybosset St, Providence, RI 02903. Note that parking may incur a fee in nearby lots, so be prepared for that cost.

Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Custom House via public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus from any location on Aquidneck Island to the Newport Gateway Center. From there, take bus number 60 towards Providence. This bus will take you directly to the Kennedy Plaza in Providence. Once you arrive at Kennedy Plaza, it's about a 5-minute walk to Custom House. Exit the plaza onto Washington St, then walk east on Washington St until you reach Weybosset St. Turn left onto Weybosset St, and you will find Custom House at 24 Weybosset St. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.

Public Transportation - Train
If you prefer to travel by train, you can take the MBTA commuter rail from the Kingston station on Aquidneck Island to Providence. Once you arrive at the Providence station, it is about a 10-minute walk to Custom House. Exit the station and head south on Gaspee St, then turn left onto Exchange St. Continue onto Weybosset St, and you will arrive at 24 Weybosset St. Note that train tickets vary in price, generally around $10.00 for a one-way trip.
