Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the Blackstone River Bikeway, head southeast on the bikeway towards the nearest road access. Depending on your exact location, this may involve a short ride to reach a road. Once you reach a road, turn onto US-44. Follow US-44 for approximately 3 miles. You will see signs for Providence River Walk as you approach the area. Look for parking options along US-44, as there may be street parking available or nearby parking lots. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared with cash or a card.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Providence River Walk using public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop along the Blackstone River Bikeway. Check the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) schedules for bus routes that connect to Providence. You can take bus route 1 or 92, which will drop you off at stops along US-44. Once you disembark, walk towards the waterfront area where Providence River Walk is located. Make sure to check the bus schedules for return trips, as service may be limited on weekends.

• Bicycle (from Blackstone River Bikeway)

  If you're biking, you can continue along the Blackstone River Bikeway towards Providence. Follow the bikeway until you reach the intersection with US-44. From there, you can follow the dedicated bike lanes that lead into the city. The ride should take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your speed. Once you arrive at US-44 in Providence, look for signage directing you to Providence River Walk. Remember to secure your bike at designated bike racks once you arrive.
