Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main village area of Block Island. Head northwest on Water Street until you reach the intersection with Old Town Road. Turn left onto Old Town Road, then continue straight until you reach the fork in the road. Keep to the right to stay on Corn Neck Road. Continue driving for about 2.5 miles, and Settlers Rock will be on your left side, just past the intersection with the road leading to the North Lighthouse.
Bicycle
For a more scenic route, consider renting a bicycle. From the Old Harbor area, head north on Water Street, then turn left onto Old Town Road. Follow the same route as if you were driving, keeping right at the fork onto Corn Neck Road. The ride is approximately 2.5 miles and offers beautiful views along the way. Upon reaching Settlers Rock, you can lock your bike at the designated bike rack nearby.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer public transportation, take the Block Island Transit bus service. Route 1 stops at several key points around the island, including Old Harbor. Board the bus and request to be dropped off at the Corn Neck Road stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 0.5 miles) to Settlers Rock. Simply walk north along Corn Neck Road, and you will find Settlers Rock on your right.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of Corn Neck Road, walking is a delightful option. Simply head north on Corn Neck Road from Old Harbor, enjoying the coastal views. Settlers Rock is located about 2.5 miles from the village center, and the walk allows you to soak in the natural beauty of Block Island. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warm weather.
