If you're traveling by car, head towards Bristol, RI. Use GPS to navigate to '419-459 Thames St, Bristol, RI 02809'. Once you arrive in Bristol, look for Thames Street, which runs parallel to the waterfront. Independence Park is located directly along this street. There is street parking available around the park, but be aware of any parking restrictions in the area to avoid fines.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, check the local bus services provided by RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority). You can take the bus number 60 or 64, which connects Providence to Bristol. Make sure to get off at the Bristol Town Common stop, which is a short walk away from Independence Park. Once you alight, head south on Hope Street towards Thames Street and turn left. The park entrance will be on your right.
Walking
If you're already in the Bristol area, you can walk to Independence Park from the downtown area. Start at the Bristol Town Common and head south on Hope Street. Once you reach Thames Street, turn left and walk along the waterfront until you reach the park entrance at 419-459 Thames St. The walk offers beautiful views of the harbor.
