Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Williams Beach Park from anywhere in Napatree Point Conservation Area, start by heading east on Ocean View Highway. Continue until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 North and follow the signs for Stonington. After approximately 10 miles, take the exit for Route 1A towards Stonington. Follow Route 1A until you reach Harry Austin Drive. Turn left onto Harry Austin Drive, and Williams Beach Park will be on your right. There is no parking fee at the park.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Williams Beach Park via public transportation, you can take the local bus service from Napatree Point. Board the bus at the nearest stop and ensure it is heading towards Mystic or Stonington. The ride may take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Stonington bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles to Harry Austin Drive, where you will turn right and walk until you reach the park. Be sure to check the bus schedule for any fares that may apply.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from Napatree Point Conservation Area to Williams Beach Park. Begin by cycling along Ocean View Highway towards Route 1. Follow the same route as cars, but be cautious of traffic. The distance is about 5 miles and will take roughly 25-30 minutes. Ensure you have a helmet and follow all road safety rules. There are bike racks available at Williams Beach Park.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk to Williams Beach Park from Napatree Point. Starting at the beach, head towards Ocean View Highway. This route is approximately 2.5 miles and will take about an hour. Walk along the beach path to the main road, then follow the directions for cars. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
