Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in Newport Coastline, head toward the main road, which is Ocean Drive. From Ocean Drive, take a right onto Bellevue Avenue. Continue on Bellevue Avenue until you reach the intersection with Memorial Boulevard. Turn left onto Memorial Boulevard and follow it until you reach Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street, and Battery Park will be located on your left at 107 Washington St, Newport, RI 02840. There may be limited parking options nearby, and you might need to pay for parking depending on the time of day.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Battery Park using public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop that services the RIPTA buses. You can take the 60 or 67 bus, which connects various parts of Newport. Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop at Washington Street. Once you disembark, walk a short distance along Washington Street toward the waterfront, and Battery Park will be on your left. Be prepared to pay a fare, which is typically around $2.00.

• Walking

  If you are already in downtown Newport, you can easily walk to Battery Park. Start from the Newport Visitor Center and head south on America's Cup Avenue. Turn left onto Memorial Boulevard and continue until you reach Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street, and you will find Battery Park at 107 Washington St, Newport, RI 02840. This walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes, and it is a pleasant route with views of the harbor.
