Car
From Newport, take RI-138 W towards Jamestown. Continue for about 8 miles until you reach the Newport Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto RI-138 W. Take the exit toward Jamestown and follow signs for Fort Wetherill Rd. Once on Fort Wetherill Rd, continue until you reach Clingstone, which is located on a small island in Narragansett Bay. There is no direct parking at Clingstone, so you may need to park at Fort Wetherill State Park and walk to the shoreline to view the house.
Public Transportation
Take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus #60 from Newport to Jamestown. The bus will take you to the Jamestown Town Center. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Clingstone. Head south on Conanicus Ave, then turn left onto Fort Wetherill Rd. Continue walking until you reach the area near Fort Wetherill State Park, where you can view Clingstone from the shoreline.
