Continue on Memorial Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Cliff Walk. Turn right onto Cliff Walk. There are parking areas at various locations along the Cliff Walk. The closest parking to the Forty Steps is at the entrance near Easton’s Beach. Be mindful of parking fees which are typically around $2 per hour.

For public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus route 67 from Newport's downtown area. The bus will take you along Memorial Boulevard. Get off at the stop closest to Easton’s Beach. From there, walk towards the beach access point and look for the Cliff Walk entrance. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the Forty Steps. Note that bus fares are approximately $2 per ride.
