Car
If you're driving from Providence, take I-95 S from downtown Providence. Continue on I-95 S for about 30 miles. Take exit 3A to merge onto RI-4 S toward Narragansett. After about 7 miles, merge onto US-1 S and follow signs for Newport. Once on Aquidneck Island, continue straight onto the Newport Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs to Newport. Once in Newport, take a left onto Bellevue Avenue. Rough Point will be on your right at 680 Bellevue Ave. Parking is available on-site, but be aware that there may be a fee depending on the time of year.
Public Transportation
From downtown Providence, you can take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus #60 toward Newport. The fare is $2.00 and you can purchase tickets at ticket vending machines or from the bus driver. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour. When you arrive in Newport, you will need to transfer to the Newport Area Transit (NAT) bus #67, which will take you to Bellevue Avenue. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as the bus frequency may vary. After getting off the bus on Bellevue Avenue, Rough Point is a short walk away at 680 Bellevue Ave.
