Public Bus
To get to Beavertail Lighthouse Museum from downtown Providence, start by heading to the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus terminal located at 265 Melrose Street. Take Bus 14 towards 'Jamestown' and stay on it for approximately 40 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Jamestown' stop. From there, walk about 1 mile along Narragansett Avenue, then take a left onto Beavertail Road. The lighthouse will be on your right.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Providence. From downtown, head south on South Main Street towards the waterfront. Continue on the East Bay Bike Path, which will take you along the shore and through scenic views. Follow the path towards Jamestown, and upon reaching Jamestown, take a right onto Beavertail Road. The Beavertail Lighthouse Museum will be located on your left after a short ride.

If you enjoy walking, you can start from the downtown area. Head south towards the waterfront, then follow the scenic East Bay Bike Path. It’s about a 6-mile walk, which will take approximately 2 hours. You'll enjoy beautiful views of Narragansett Bay. Once you reach Jamestown, continue walking on Beavertail Road, and the lighthouse museum will be on your left.
