Bus
From downtown Providence, walk to the Kennedy Plaza bus terminal. Look for the RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) bus number 60, which goes to Newport. Board the bus, and enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 45 minutes, disembark at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to Cardines Field at 20 America's Cup Ave. Head southeast on America’s Cup Ave, and you will find the field on your right.
Train
Start at the Providence Amtrak station. Purchase a ticket for the train heading to Newport. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Newport train station, exit and walk northwest on America's Cup Ave. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Cardines Field, which will be on your left at 20 America's Cup Ave.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Providence. Head south on Washington St towards the East Bay Bike Path. Follow the bike path until you reach the Sakonnet Greenway, which leads you directly to Newport. The entire ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Newport, continue on America’s Cup Ave until you reach Cardines Field at 20 America's Cup Ave.
Walking
If you prefer to explore on foot and are staying in Newport, you can walk to Cardines Field from anywhere in the city. From the Newport waterfront, head north on America’s Cup Ave. The field is located at 20 America's Cup Ave, and you should see it within 15-20 minutes of walking.
