To reach Historic Providence Well by car, start from any location in South County. Head north on Route 1 (Post Rd) toward Warwick. Merge onto I-95 N toward Providence. Continue on I-95 N for approximately 25 miles. Take exit 22C for I-195 E toward Cape Cod. Stay on I-195 E for about 1 mile and then take exit 2A toward Downtown Providence. Merge onto N Main St and continue for about 0.5 miles. The Historic Providence Well will be on your right at 237 N Main St, Providence, RI 02903. Parking may be available on nearby streets, but be aware of any parking fees that may apply.

If you prefer to use public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus from your location in South County. Check the RIPTA website or app for the nearest bus stop and schedule. You may need to take a bus to the Wickford Junction train station or a direct bus to Providence. If you take the train, board an MBTA commuter rail train to Providence Station. Once you arrive at Providence Station, exit and walk towards the bus terminal. From there, you can catch a RIPTA bus that goes to downtown Providence. Get off at the nearest stop to N Main St, and walk about 0.5 miles to reach 237 N Main St, where the Historic Providence Well is located.
