If you're driving, start on US-1 South from anywhere in Newport County. Follow US-1 South until you reach the junction with RI-138 East. Merge onto RI-138 East and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit towards Newport, which will lead you onto Admiral Kalbfus Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bellevue Avenue. Turn left onto Bellevue Avenue, then take a right onto Ruggles Avenue. Follow Ruggles Avenue until it becomes Fort Adams Drive, which will lead you directly to the Naval War College Museum located at Luce Ave. Look for parking in the nearby areas, as the museum does not have its own designated parking lot.

If you prefer to use public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus number 60 from the Newport Gateway Center. The bus runs frequently, and you should check the current schedule for exact times. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Fort Adams Drive and Ruggles Avenue. From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the museum.
