Walking
If you are starting from downtown Westerly, head north on High Street towards the intersection with Railroad Avenue. Continue straight onto Canal Street. After a few blocks, you'll reach the intersection with Beach Street. Turn left onto Beach Street and follow it until it turns into East Avenue. Keep walking straight, and you will eventually reach RI-138. Continue on RI-138, and you will see the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge ahead.

From downtown Westerly, walk to the nearest bus stop at the intersection of High Street and Railroad Avenue. Catch the RIPTA bus number 67 towards Newport. Stay on the bus until you reach the Jamestown stop. From there, you can walk along RI-138 towards the bridge. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge.
