Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Westerly, head southeast on High Street toward Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street, which will turn into Route 1 (Post Road). Follow Route 1 for approximately 5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with Route 138, take a left onto Route 138 East. Continue on Route 138 for about 15 miles until you reach Newport. Once in Newport, merge onto Memorial Boulevard. Continue on Memorial Boulevard until you see a sign for Harrison Ave. Turn left onto Harrison Ave. Hammersmith Farm will be on your left.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Start at the Westerly Train Station and take the Rhody Express bus service, which provides a route to Newport. Board the bus heading to Newport and enjoy the scenic ride. Once in Newport, disembark at the Newport Visitor Center stop. From there, walk southeast on America's Cup Ave, then turn left onto Thames St. Continue straight until you reach Memorial Blvd. Turn right onto Memorial Blvd and follow it until you see Harrison Ave. Hammersmith Farm will be on your left.
