Walking
From the center of Westerly, walk to the Westerly Train Station located at 14 Railroad Ave. Take the Amtrak Northeast Regional train towards Boston. Get off at the Kingston Station. Once you arrive at Kingston, exit the station and head towards the bus stop. Take the RIPTA Route 66 bus towards Newport. The bus will take you directly to Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, walk towards the waterfront. King Park Beach is located just a short walk from the bus stop. Head south on America's Cup Ave, then turn left onto S. Harrison Ave. Continue straight until you reach King Park Beach.
Bicycling
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Westerly. Start your ride heading east on Main St towards the Ocean. Follow Main St until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and then right onto Route 138 which will take you to Newport. Continue on Route 138, which becomes the Newport Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, follow the signs for Newport. Upon entering Newport, make your way towards the waterfront area, where King Park Beach is located. Look for signs directing you to King Park Beach.
Public Transportation
To reach King Park Beach from Westerly, head to the Westerly Train Station at 14 Railroad Ave. Board the Amtrak train heading towards Boston. Disembark at the Kingston Station. From there, catch the RIPTA bus Route 66 towards Newport. The bus will drop you off in the Newport area. Once you step off the bus, head towards the waterfront area, walking south on America's Cup Ave, then turning left onto S. Harrison Ave. Continue walking straight until you reach King Park Beach.
