Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Beiuș, which is located about 30 km from Piatra Ciungilor. Take DJ764 road towards Boga. Continue on DJ764, passing through the village of Boga. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the intersection with DJ763. Turn onto DJ763 and follow the road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Piatra Ciungilor. Parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5 RON.
Public Transportation
To reach Piatra Ciungilor using public transport, take a bus from Oradea to Beiuș. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Beiuș, you will need to catch a local bus towards Boga. Confirm the bus schedule as it may vary; this leg of the journey usually takes around 30 minutes. After arriving in Boga, you can either walk or take a taxi to the DJ763 road. The walk to the parking area and trailhead for Piatra Ciungilor is approximately 3 km. Taxi fares in the area are relatively affordable, costing around 15-20 RON.
Hiking
