Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Bucovina, head southwest on DN17 towards Vatra Dornei. Continue on DN17 for approximately 40 km until you reach the junction in Vatra Dornei. Here, take a right onto DJ175, which will lead you towards Șaru Dornei. After about 12 km, you will arrive in Șaru Dornei. Calimani National Park is located at nr 54C, just a short drive from the village center. There is no entry fee to access the park, but parking may cost around 5 RON.

  • Public Transportation

    From Suceava, take a train or bus to Vatra Dornei. Buses leave frequently from the Suceava bus station and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Vatra Dornei, transfer to a local bus heading to Șaru Dornei. This bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Șaru Dornei, you can either walk approximately 1 km to reach the entry point of Calimani National Park or take a taxi for around 15 RON.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a direct route and are already in Vatra Dornei, you can hire a taxi to take you to Calimani National Park. The journey will take about 20 minutes and should cost between 50-70 RON depending on the taxi service. Make sure to confirm the price before beginning your trip.
