Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Dâmbovița. Head southeast on Strada Mihai Viteazul, then continue straight onto Strada 1 Decembrie 1918. Follow the road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto DN71. Drive for about 4 kilometers, and you will see signs for Dâmbovița River. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads directly to the riverbank. Parking is available along the riverbank, but be sure to check local signage for any restrictions.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Dâmbovița River via public transportation, head to the Dâmbovița bus station located at Strada I.C. Brătianu. Look for bus line 5, which heads towards the nearby village of Târgoviște. The bus operates daily and costs approximately 5 RON (Romanian Lei) for a one-way ticket. After about 20 minutes, disembark at the 'Dâmbovița River' stop. From there, follow the path leading toward the river; it’s a short 10-minute walk. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times to avoid long waits.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, cycling to Dâmbovița River is a great option. Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the center of Dâmbovița. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road, DN71. Follow the designated bike lanes, which will take you directly to the river. The ride is about 5 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs indicating bike routes to ensure you stay on track.
