From the center of Drobeta-Turnu Severin, head to the main bus station (Autogara Drobeta-Turnu Severin) located on Strada 22 Decembrie. You need to catch a bus heading towards Dubova or the nearby villages. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule at the station or online in advance. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Veterani Cave, as it is located near the DN57 road.

After getting off the bus, walk towards the DN57 road. The Veterani Cave is accessible by a short walk from the bus stop. Head northwest along the DN57. The cave is approximately 1 km from the bus stop. Follow the road signs, and you will see the entrance to the cave on your left.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Drobeta-Turnu Severin. Cycle towards the DN57 road, which is well-connected. The distance from the city center to Veterani Cave is about 7 km. Follow the DN57 and enjoy the scenic views along the way. It should take around 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
