Car
If you are driving from Sibiu, take the DN1 road towards Fagaras. After approximately 45 km, turn onto DN7C towards Porumbacu de Sus. Continue on this road for about 15 km. Once in Porumbacu de Sus, look for local signs directing you to Izvor, which is located at the coordinates 45.6745842 latitude and 24.5134314 longitude. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for a short walk to the destination.
Public Transportation
To reach Izvor by public transportation, start by taking a bus from Sibiu to Fagaras. Once you arrive in Fagaras, transfer to a local bus heading to Porumbacu de Sus (be sure to check the local schedule as service may vary). Upon arrival in Porumbacu de Sus, you can either walk or take a taxi to Izvor, which is about 3 km away. Taxis can usually be found near the bus stop, and prices may vary.
Walking
If you are already in Porumbacu de Sus and prefer to walk, head southwest along the main road (DN7C) from the center of the village. After about 3 km, you will see signs for Izvor. The walk takes approximately 40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
