If you are traveling by car, head towards the village of Arefu, located in the Fagaras Mountains region. From the town of Curtea de Arges, take DN7C (Transfagarasan Highway) towards Balea Lac. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Arefu. From Arefu, follow the signs for the trailhead that leads to Peak Arpașu Mare. There is a parking area near the trailhead. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5-10 RON.

To reach Arefu via public transportation, take a train to Curtea de Arges from Bucharest or Sibiu. From Curtea de Arges, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Arefu.
