If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Făgăraș. Head towards DN1 road and follow the signs for Balea Lake. Continue on the DN7C road which is known as the Transfăgărășan. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Balea Lake. There is a parking area near the lake, where you can leave your car. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with some cash.

From Balea Lake, you will need to hike to reach Șaua Caprei. Follow the marked hiking trail that heads towards Șaua Caprei. The hike is moderate in difficulty and takes about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, but make sure to wear appropriate hiking footwear and bring water and snacks for the journey.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Făgăraș to Sibiu. From Sibiu, you can catch another bus that goes to Balea Lake. The bus schedules may vary, so check the local timetable in advance. Once you arrive at Balea Lake, follow the same hiking route to reach Șaua Caprei. Ensure to check bus return times as well, as they may not run frequently.
