Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Harghita. Head southeast on DJ138 towards Miercurea Ciuc. Continue on DJ138 for approximately 25 km, following the signs for Ciuc Mountains. The road will lead you through picturesque landscapes and small villages. Once you reach the village of Miercurea Ciuc, take the left turn onto DN12, which will take you directly to the Ciuc Mountains area. There are no tolls on this route.

Bus

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Miercurea Ciuc to the Ciuc Mountains area. Buses depart regularly from the Miercurea Ciuc bus station. Look for buses heading towards Băile Tușnad or Lacu Roșu. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the bus station and typically cost around 10 RON. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, consider taking a taxi from Harghita or Miercurea Ciuc to the Ciuc Mountains. The fare from Miercurea Ciuc to the mountains is usually around 70-100 RON depending on your exact destination within the mountains. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
