Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Harghita. Head south on DN13E towards the Praid area. Continue on DN13E for about 20 kilometers until you reach Praid. Once in Praid, follow the signs for 'Canionul de Sare' which will guide you to the parking area near the canyon. The drive should take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  To reach The Salt Canyon via public transport, take a bus from the Harghita station to Praid. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Praid bus station, you can either walk to the canyon (approximately 30 minutes on foot, following local signs) or take a short taxi ride to the canyon entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.

• Walking

  If you're already in Praid, you can walk to The Salt Canyon. From the Praid bus station, head southwest on Strada Principala, then turn onto the marked hiking trails leading to the canyon. It should take you about 30 minutes to reach the canyon entrance.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route from Praid, you can take a taxi from the town center to The Salt Canyon. The taxi ride will take about 10-15 minutes and should cost around 15-20 RON, depending on the taxi service.
