If you are driving from Baia Mare, take DN18 towards Sighetu Marmației. Continue on DN18 for about 65 kilometers. After reaching the town of Sighetu Marmației, follow signs for DJ109E towards the village of Moisei. Drive through Moisei and continue for around 20 kilometers until you reach the sign for Lacul Morărenilor. Turn off the main road onto a smaller access road that leads directly to the lake. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Lacul Morărenilor using public transport, start at Baia Mare's main bus station. Take a bus to Sighetu Marmației, which runs frequently and costs approximately 15 RON. Once in Sighetu Marmației, you can catch a local bus heading towards Moisei. This bus should cost around 5 RON. Get off at the Moisei stop and from there, you can either walk (approximately 5 kilometers) or arrange for a taxi to take you the remaining distance to Lacul Morărenilor.
