Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Baia Mare, the capital of Maramureș County. Head southeast on DN18 toward Sighetu Marmației. After approximately 40 km, take the exit toward DJ109G. Continue on DJ109G for about 10 km until you reach Rogoz. The Maramureș Balloon Fiesta is located on Str. Principală, close to the village center. Look for signs indicating the event as you approach.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach Rogoz via public transportation, take a bus from Baia Mare to Sighetu Marmației. Buses leave regularly from the Baia Mare bus station, and the journey takes about 1 hour. After arriving in Sighetu Marmației, transfer to a local bus heading to Rogoz. This bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Rogoz, ask locals for directions to Str. Principală, where the Balloon Fiesta is held.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Maramureș to Rogoz. This option is more flexible and efficient, especially if traveling in a group. The fare from Baia Mare to Rogoz is approximately 100 RON. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off directly at Str. Principală.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, cycling to Rogoz from nearby towns is a great option. If you are in Baia Mare, take the scenic route via DN18. The ride is roughly 40 km and provides beautiful views of the Carpathian landscape. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring water and snacks for the journey. Upon reaching Rogoz, follow signs to Str. Principală for the Balloon Fiesta.
