Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Sighetu Marmației. Head south on Strada 1 Mai towards Strada Horea. Continue straight onto Strada I. C. Brătianu, and then take a right onto Strada Daciei. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto DJ186. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Peștera din Dealul Solovan directing you to a parking area near the cave entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Peștera din Dealul Solovan via public transportation, first take a local bus from Sighetu Marmației to the nearby village of Bârsana or Vișeu de Sus. Buses run frequently from the main bus station in Sighetu Marmației, and the fare is around 5-10 RON. Once you arrive in either village, you may need to hire a taxi to get to the cave entrance, as public transportation options may be limited. The taxi ride should cost approximately 30-50 RON depending on the exact distance.
Walking
If you are already near the site and prefer walking, make your way to the main road leading to the cave. From Sighetu Marmației, it is about a 6-7 kilometer walk to the cave entrance. Head out on the main road (DJ186) and follow the signs for Peștera din Dealul Solovan. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be uneven in some areas.
