After approximately 10 kilometers, you'll arrive at the village of Șișești. From here, take the unpaved road heading north which will lead you directly to the parking area near Ștur Waterfall. The total driving distance is around 50 kilometers and may take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation

To reach Ștur Waterfall via public transportation, start from Baia Mare and take a bus to Târgu Lăpuș. Buses run frequently from Baia Mare's main bus station. Once in Târgu Lăpuș, you'll need to catch a local minibus or arrange for a taxi to reach Băița. From Băița, you can either walk or find a local taxi to take you to the unpaved road leading to the waterfall. The total travel time can vary but expect to spend around 2 to 3 hours, including waiting times for buses.
