Car
From the city of Baia Mare, take the DN18 road toward Borșa. Follow the DN18 for approximately 90 km until you reach Borșa. Once in Borșa, look for signs directing you towards the Pietrosu Peak trailhead. The last stretch involves a winding mountain road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain. Park at the designated parking area near the trailhead (no fees are required for parking).
Public Transportation
Start by taking a train or bus from Baia Mare to Borșa. Check local schedules at the Baia Mare train station or the bus station for routes to Borșa. The bus is generally more frequent and may be more convenient. Once in Borșa, you can either walk to the trailhead (approximately 2 km) or take a local taxi if available. There might be a small fee for the taxi, usually around 15-20 RON.
